ISIS: Entire New Album Available For Streaming

"Wavering Radiant", the fifth full-length album from ISIS, the innovative Los Angeles-by-way-of-Boston-based band, is available for streaming in its entirety on the group's MySpace page.

"Wavering Radiant" is scheduled for release on May 5 via Ipecac Recordings. The CD, produced by Joe Baressi (TOOL, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE), will receive a limited-edition vinyl release on April 21. TOOL's Adam Jones contributed guitar to two songs from the LP.

Having been on the forefront of the progressive metal scene for over a decade now, ISIS has managed to pump out landmark records like a well-oiled machine, each one more unique and daring then the last. Routinely changing the genre's landscape, the group produced destructive, incendiary riffs on their debut, explored the sprawling, vast unknown via 2004's "Oceanic" and discordant, rhythmic textures on "The Absence of Truth". Enter "Wavering Radiant". Their first full-length in over two years, it marks yet another push towards the unexplored; solidifying a career in adaptation and transformation. Acting as the culmination of twelve years spent unleashing backbreaking riff-age and sonic explorations of light and dark, "Radiant" sees the colossal five-some moving beyond the visible spectrum of rock and the realm of the uninspired. Blissfully melodic, frighteningly dense; the album is an epic conflict between worlds of beauty and the darkest of demons. A monster of epic proportions, its seven tracks clock in at a total of 54 minutes. The shortest number (also the album's title cut) stays under two minutes, while its longest reaches 11 minutes. Less tracks then they are portions, they are better described as subsections to one massive piece. After just one listen, it's clear that "Radiant" is the sum of years of experimentation, varying influences and the organic infusion of their multiple personalities (band members are featured in a slew of successful side-projects).

BIRDS OF PREY: Entire New Album Available For Streaming

"The Hellpreacher", the third full-length album from BIRDS OF PREY — the band featuring Erik Larson (ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY), Bo Leslie (THE LAST VAN ZANT), Summer Welch (BARONESS), Ben Hogg (BEATEN BACK TO PURE) and Dave Witte (MUNICIPAL WASTE) — is available for streaming in its entirety at TheHellpreacher.info.

"The Hellpreacher" is scheduled for an April 28 North American release (May 4 internationally) via Relapse Records.

The follow-up to last year's "Sulfur & Semen", "The Hellpreacher" is a full-concept effort that tells the story of an inmate-turned-priest. It was recorded last fall at Sniper Studio in North Carolina.

HEAVEN & HELL: Entire 'The Devil You Know' Album Available For Streaming

"The Devil You Know", the debut album from HEAVEN & HELL — the band featuring BLACK SABBATH members Tony Iommi (guitar), Ronnie James Dio (vocals), Geezer Butler (bass) and Vinny Appice (drums) — is available for streaming in its entirety on VH1.com's The Leak.

BLACK SABBATH fan site Black-Sabbath.com has revealed the details of several "exclusive" physical and digital retail versions of "The Devil In You", which is scheduled to arrive in North America on April 28 from Rhino for a suggested list price of $18.98 (physical) and $9.99 (digital). The effort will also be released as double vinyl LP featuring a laser etched design and exclusive poster on May 12.

The details are as follows:

* Best Buy will offer an exclusive version featuring a DVD with unreleased video of the band recording the album including studio performances, interviews, and other behind-the-scenes content. (See several clips from the DVD below.)

* Wal-Mart will offer an exclusive alternate cover (see image below) that prominently features the traditional BLACK SABBATH devil logo. When finalizing the cover, the band narrowed it down to their two favorites but had a difficult time making a final decision. Now the alternate cover will also be available as a Wal-Mart exclusive.

* iTunes will offer an exclusive version with previously unreleased live recordings of "Die Young" and "I" from the band's 2007 European tour.

BATTLEFIELDS: Entire Album Available For Streaming

"Thresholds Of Imbalance", the new album from Minnesota's BATTLEFIELDS, is being streamed in its entirety at this location. Released on March 31 via Translation Loss, the CD was recorded at The Devil's Workshop in Minnesota with drummer Rob Schmidt at the helm and was mastered by Nick Zampiello at New Alliance Audio.

According to a press release, "BATTLEFIELDS have been touring relentlessly for the last three years and accruing massive accolades for their astounding live performances and their two previous records, 'Stained with the Blood of an Empire' and 'Entourage of the Archaic', both released on indie label Init Records. Diagonal Album Available for Streaming

Captivating UK buzz band Diagonal has completed work on its highly anticipated debut album. The progressive jazz-rock group released the self-titled Diagonal in North America on January 27, 2009 via Rise Above Records. The album is streaming online in its entirety now via Last FM. A seven piece from Brighton on the UK’s south coast, all in their mid twenties, Diagonal is very much at the forefront of a new wave of bands inspired by and exploring the musical stylings of the underground progressive rock bands of the early seventies. Drawing influence from the true origins of the late Sixties/early Seventies jazz-rock, psych and progressive underground, the band has been called “incredible” and “progressive prog`s brightest hope.” Out of the gate, Diagonal dares to explore the cosmic terrain that most contemporary bands wouldn`t dare and with its impressive debut has created a record that could have sat quite comfortably alongside similar artists from the RCA Neon, Nepentha, Deram and Vertigo-Swirl stables.

Atlanta-based hard rock behemoths MASTODON premiered a brand new song, "Divinations", from their highly anticipated, long-awaited new studio album, "Crack The Skye", on this week's (January 26/27) installment of BBC Radio 1's "Rock Show". Legendary sludge misanthropes 16 are streaming their new album, "Bridges To Burn", in its entirety at BridgesToBurn.com. The CD is scheduled for release on January 20 (January 26 internationally) through Relapse Records.

16, which has reformed with the original "Dropout" lineup of Cris Jerue (vocals), Tony Baumeister (bass), Bobby Ferry (guitar), and Jason Corley (drums), has announced a number of West Coast tour dates, including a "Bridges To Burn" record-release show on January 24 in Los Angeles.

Maryland rockers CLUTCH will release their first-ever live DVD, "Full Fathom Five: Video Field Recordings", on August 12 via the group's newly launched Weathermaker Music label. COFFINS: New Songs Available For Streaming

Tokyo, Japan's COFFINS has released two tracks from its upcoming album, "Buried Death", on the group's MySpace page. The album, to be released on 20 Buck Spin Records with distribution through Southern Lord, will hit the streets on June 24, and was lasted as part of Decibel magazine's 25 most anticipated LPs of 2008. The title track, Buried Death", will be featured on the upcoming Southern Lord sampler that will given out free on the upcoming North American BORIS tour.

The band will attack the Northeast U.S. with a splattering of live dates with labelmates THE ENDLESS BLOCKADE. COFFINS will also appear at the Maryland Deathfest at the end of May.

THE HELLACOPTERS: Entire New Album Available For Streaming; Video Posted Online

Sweden's THE HELLACOPTERS — the band fronted by former ENTOMBED drummer Nicke Andersson (on guitar/vocals) — is currently streaming its entire new album, "Head Off", on the group's MySpace page. The CD, which was once again produced by Chips Kiesby (THE NOMADS, SATOR, THE TURPENTINES) and mixed by Henryk Lipp, will be issued in Europe on April 18 via Wild Kingdom/Sound Pollution. European festival appearances will follow during the summer, and a final headlining run will take place in the fall.

THE HELLACOPTERS' last album, "Rock & Roll Is Dead", was released in the U.S. in February 2006 via Liquor and Poker Music. The American version of the CD contained two bonus tracks not included on any other version of the recording, as well as bonus video clips for the singles "Everything's on T.V." (available for viewing below) and "I'm in the Band".

SLUDGE: Next 3 Songs From Upcoming Album Available For Streaming

Following on from the first streaming of three tracks from their forthcoming album "Lava", Swiss doom metallers SLUDGE will this weekend make available another three tracks on their MySpace page. "Idi Na Hui", "Below (Litanies Of Satan)" and "Machine" are the tracks that will replace the currently featured "60 MM", "Carnivore" and "Lava" on Sunday, March 30.

SAMAEL guitarist Makro, who formed SLUDGE ten years ago with drummer Pud, commented: "We decided to stream six of the nine tracks from the new album so that fans would get a chance to hear something before the album is released. It's something more and more bands are doing these days. When you think about it, it's not very realistic, and not very fair, for a lesser known band to expect people to go out and buy an album without knowing what they're getting, and we are confident that the new material will appeal to those who like their music with dirty, heavy and uncompromising doom-laden riffs. In fact, the feedback we received after making the first three titles available has more than justified our decision to stream the tracks."

"Lava" is scheduled for release on the Mighty Music label during April/May, and features two new members — Ulik on bass and Odin (HOUSTON SWING ENGINE, UNFOLD) on vocals.

"Lava" was produced by Makro, mixed by Serge Morattel (KNUT, NOSTROMO, SHORA), and mastered by Alan Douches (MASTODON, CONVERGE). According to a press release, the album is "dirty, un-commercial, heavy as shit."

With regards to the musical direction of the upcoming CD, Makro previously said, "All we can say is that this is gonna be a bit different, keeping the heavy and dirty feel from our sound, we've been experimenting more things and paths… There's gonna be blood, teeth and the doomest atmospheres we've ever recorded…"

DANKO JONES: Entire New Album Available For Streaming

Canadian rock 'n' roll trio DANKO JONES is streaming its entire new album, "Never Too Loud", on the band's MySpace page. Due in Germany on February 29, 2008 via Bad Taste/Soulfood Music, the CD was recorded at Studio 606 in Los Angeles with Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, RUSH, STONE SOUR, VELVET REVOLVER).

"Nick's worked on some of my favourite records of the last five years", the band's leader and namesake previously said, "and we're very excited to step into the studio with a producer who has such a great track record and incredible instincts."

The past five years have been a whirlwind for the band, which saw DANKO JONES play virtually every major European festival including Rock Im Park, Rock Am Ring, Wacken Open Air, Hellfest, Leeds, Lowlands, Roskilde, Gurten, Hultsfred, Reading and Ozzfest. In addition to non-stop touring Danko Jones also appeared on the new ANNIHILATOR album "Metal" (released in April 2007), on the track "Couple Suicide", with ARCH ENEMY singer Angela Gossow.

KINGDOM OF SORROW: Entire Debut Album Available For Streaming

KINGDOM OF SORROW, the band featuring Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Kirk Windstein (DOWN, CROWBAR), is streaming its self-titled debut in its entirety on the group's MySpace page.

KINGDOM OF SORROW will release its CD next Tuesday, February 19 in North America (February 25 internationally). To launch the record, Jasta has scheduled a number of in-store appearances and signings at various record stores along the East Coast for next week. During the week of release, Jasta will also be stopping by the Sirius and XM Radio satellite offices in addition to WSOU (NJ), WZMR (NY), and more, for live on-air interviews.

KINGDOM OF SORROW will make its live debut later this month as it begins a string of dates in support of the CD. These dates will kick off in Worcester, MA and extend for a week across the Northeastern U.S. Support includes TURMOIL, DEAD TO FALL, THY WILL BE DONE, and more on select dates.
