"On November 29th, 2010 the StonerRock.com website was suddenly sucked into the void. We did everything we could do, but it was not possible to save it.

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the community supporters, forums administrators and content contributors. You can give yourselves a high five for keeping StonerRock.com online for an extra year. Thank you!

We are not revealing any details about what happened because we don't want to give the perpetrators any satisfaction or notoriety.

From now on we will be 100% devoted to our other websites, All That is Heavy and MeteorCity. We hope that you will continue to support us in our continued efforts to bring the rock to the people."

This news is very unfortunate and saddening. I have been a supporter of StonerRock.com since day one. One of the reasons I started Heavy Planet was because of StonerRock.com. One of the greatest days of my life was a few months ago when John from StonerRock.com contacted me and asked me if I could put my "New Band To Burn One To" feature on the site. I must say that I was truly honored. The Stoner Rock/Doom community is alive and well and hopefully many of you will continue to support all the great bands that continue to put out some of the greatest music in the world. Along with many other great sites such as The Soda Shop, The Obelisk, Sludge Swamp, PlanetFuzz, Captain Beyond Zen, etc. Heavy Planet will strive to bring you the best that we have to offer. We may not have the journalistic chops, the contacts, or the staffs that the other sites may have, but we definitely have the passion.
