Shine are a heavy stoner doom trio from Bielsko-Biała,
Poland, and when we say heavy, we mean HEAVY! They have recently released their
Weednight EP, there songs of deafening fuzzed out stoner riffs, all entwined
with thick layers of doomy overtones, all the while taking you down a
psychedelic corridor as the songs stretch out their deaths each time.
The songs show the band members (Kamil Baran – guitar &
vocals, Damian Olearczyk – bass & vocals, and Marcel Łękawa – drums) to be excellent
musicians with dominant bass tones striving through the self-titled track, the
drums carrying hefty control of the background, the guitar weaves intricate
guitar drones into every psychedelic stoners dreams, and the vocals have enough
alien distortion to allow it to flow in their astral plain, but all the while
drawing you in to it’s grasp.
Shine are proving to be a massive force to be reckoned
with. We recommend you allow Weednight to completely absolve you.
