HEAVY PLANET presents...BELLUA!

BAND BIO:

We are Bellua. We're a sludge/doom/stoner metal band from Southern California. The band is comprised of Jonathan Heuer on guitar/vocals and Ryan Janke on drums. For a while the two of us played in a jazzy fusion-metal trio, but due to some unfortunate circumstances we had to let our bassist go and we decided to start a new band as a duo. We cut out the jazz, slowed the tempo way down, added some vocals and created some crushing tunes.

"Amidst all the heat and sunshine in Southern California there is a beautiful piece of land known as the La Brea Tar Pits. Oil would seep from the ground and unknowing victims would wander in becoming trapped and eventually die. Bellua is a band from California that is elephantine in nature and minimalistic in approach (they are a duo). Covered in a thick smoldering sludge, the band swallows you in with progressive rhythms, gargantuan beats, crushing guitars and a swirling beauty. Wander in too long and there may be no turning back.
