Infinite Oort were born in 2008 as a space rock/shoegaze act, but they took a fast shift towards more heavy sound. They recorded a demo in 2010, and after that they decided to change (or better) refine themselves.
in fact during january 2011 they took in a singer and after a few months removed the 2nd guitarist. now they have recorded a 2 track (for costs) hi-def ep (unsigned and consequently unreleased......)
the space part is far gone away and the way they want to follow is of a mid complexity heavy sound (in new songs they moved to some hard riffing, and these songs will be released during summer)
"As I listened to Italy's Infinite Oort, I was captivated by their amazing use of progressive dynamics. At times the band can be strikingly calm and then all of a sudden this huge wall of sound overtakes you and flattens you into the ground. With lyrics sung in Italian (I believe), Infinite Oort's pulsating rhythms and wailing drum flourishes set the tone for this nicely structured slab of beautiful cosmic devastation. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the lack of songs to listen to. According to the band they are heading toward a much heavier approach. Until then, fasten your seat belts and catch the tail of the comet."
