Brief Bio/Description: Coat is a Sludge/Stoner band from Minsk, Belarus, formed in 2009. The band self released a Demo, "Livedemo" in 2011 and their first LP, "Swamp" in 2013. Both releases were recorded in outbuilding structure located right next to the rented house where used to live Hair and Kindman. Album "Swamp" was mixed and mastered by Dope Jo at DIY studio, called "Mounted Studio".

In November 2013 band went to the mini tour across Russia, they played shows in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Petrozavodsk, Tula. Also the band joined a fest "Tune Low Play Slow" in Moscow.

In 2014, Take(drummer) left the band, the band spent a couple months to find a new drummer and started to work on a new album. In August 2014, singer Pigmy was arrested and sentenced to 7 years in prison. Even so band released a new album called Doomsdays in September 2015.

MINSK: New Song Posted Online

Chicago/Peoria, Illinois quartet MINSK has posted a new song, "Three Moons", on the band's MySpace page. The track comes off the group's forthcoming album, "With Echoes In The Movement Of Stone", which is scheduled for release on May 26 in North America and June 1 internationally via Relapse Records. The follow-up to "The Ritual Fires Of Abandonment" was recorded at Volume Studios in Chicago with the band's Sanford Parker in the producer's chair.

MINSK is confirmed to take part in the sold-out Roadburn festival, to be held April 23 in Tilburg, Netherlands, as well as the Polish Asymmetry festival on April 26. The band is currently routing a European tour around these dates, with details to be announced soon.

MINSK recently released a split seven-inch of ROKY ERICKSON covers with labelmates UNEARTHLY TRANCE via Parasitic Records. The black vinyl release, which is limited to 500 copies, features MINSK covering "Stand For The Fire Demon" and UNEARTHLY TRANCE doing a version of "Night Of The Vampire".

MINSK Begins Recording New Album

Chicago/Peoria, Illinois quartet MINSK has entered Volume Studios with the band's Sanford Parker producing to begin recording its third full-length album, "With Echoes In The Movement Of Stone", for a summer release via Relapse Records.

In other news, MINSK has announced a number of regional shows for late February, touring alongside SWEET COBRA. The band will also perform at the Roadburn festival in the Netherlands in April.

MINSK's second album, "The Ritual Fires of Abandonment", was released in February 2007. The CD's cover was designed by Orion Landau (ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY, HIGH ON FIRE).

MINSK To Support TROUBLE

Chicago/Peoria, Illinois quartet MINSK has announced a run of tour dates with legendary Chicago doomsters TROUBLE. This tour will begin on September 11 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada before heading down along the East Coast, then westward.

MINSK is currently writing material for the follow-up to its Relapse debut, "The Ritual Fires of Abandonment". The CD was recorded at Sanford Parker's (PELICAN, UNEARTHLY TRANCE) Volume Recording studio in Chicago.

MINSK Announces Spring Tour

Chicago/Peoria, IL quartet MINSK has announced a spring tour in support of its "The Ritual Fires of Abandonment" album. The band will begin this two-week run of dates on March 18 in Columbus, OH, working their way to meet up with Atlanta’s ZOROASTER in Wilmington, NC. From there, the two groups will tour together through much of the Southeast.

MINSK has announced plans for the vinyl release of its "Out Of A Center Which Is Neither Dead Nor Alive" album. This double vinyl set is expected to see a spring release through Original Sound Recordings.
