Today's "New Band To Burn One To" comes from Bologna, Italia.
Band Bio:
Born in 2009, Sloworder just finished their first album featuring Patrik Hultin (ex Burst) at the drums. The sound they created is mud and sweat, giving life to mysterious and mystical atmospheres. This band was born from the desire to experiment with every kind of emotion and bring it back to music thru use of anger and heaviness.
This project represents love for low strings and the pioneers of metal (Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Cream), merging them with some stoner and modern heavy metal influences.
Thoughts:
"If you are a fan of Heavy Planet Radio, then you may be familiar with Slow Order's blistering track "Horseman of the Dunes". If not, then you are about to be pummeled into oblivion by the twisted and writhing sludge of Slow Order. This band from Bologna, Italy have currently released an EP titled "Pyramid Toward Oblivion" which features 6 songs filled with southern-tinged, scab-pickin, ass-kickin' good times. The machismo grime of the vocals soar above the sweaty groove as the guitar leads tear through the thick doom-laden sludge. Prime examples can be heard on the killer tracks "Magma" and the aforementioned "Horseman of the Dunes". The last track "Perseids" is pure epic beauty. Definitely a band that needs to be heard."
