HEAVY PLANET presents...SACRAMENTO VALLEY!
BAND BIO:
We are Sacramento Valley, a young instrumental Stoner Rock band from Orihuela, Alicante, Spain softly influenced by classic rock n roll, post rock and doom . We were born in August 2012, and we are four members (Alvaro Gordo - Rhythm guitars, Fernando Ródenas - Solo guitars, Fabio Velasquez, Bass and Pablo López on Drums).
THOUGHTS:
"Well, you can't get much fresher than this. Sacramento Valley from Orihuela, Alicante, Spain formed in August of 2012 then went out and recorded and released a 6-song demo of heart-pounding instrumental Desert/Stoner rock on April 4, 2013. Granted, the demo is a bit rough around the edges, but it is recorded well and the music within is pretty damn good. As intended, by looking at the album cover, you are instantly transported to a long desert highway, blaring your car's speakers and riding with the top down. While the sweat rolls down your forehead, you are greeted with enticing grooves that sizzle like the heat of the hot desert sun. Abundant riffing, trippy solos and steady rhythms leave a lasting impression in your brain. While still in their infancy stage, the band shows their determination and desire and with a bit more experience the rest will come. Nice job guys! Now go download this damn thing, it's FREE!"
I'll giver er a go..
ReplyDeleteOkay I thought it was weird enough that there is a band called "Palm Desert" from Poland (though somewhat appropriate, as it is a desert rock band that clearly worships Kyuss), but a band called "Sacramento Valley" from Spain? Being from the Sacramento Valley, I can't help but be slightly annoyed as the area is neither a desert nor a mecca for stoner metal bands of any kind. Also, the cover is a road with a sign that says "Welcome to California", and I can assure everyone that there is NO place in the Sacramento Valley where there is a border to any other state or country. Am I wrong to be so irritated? In any case, I liked the music.
ReplyDeleteHa, and isn't that what it is all about anyways?
DeleteAbsolutely.
