Formed in the summer of 2007, Southern Metal group By Definition have been bringing something new to the diverse Brighton music scene.
With a combination of pumping riffs and a dirty vocal style, they have proven to be popular with both fans and non-fans of the genre alike. The five-piece group, consisting of Si on Vocals, Dan and Rob on guitars, J on bass and Phil on drums, have been stamping their name on the city, earning nominations in the Best Band and Best Vocalist categories of the Jackhammer Productions Music Awards 2011.
After a triumphant first EP entitled Eyes On Wires, By Definition are back with their new EP Overclocked, Under Threat.
Set for release in November 2011 (out now), "Overclocked, Under Threat" contains By Definition’s strongest material to date, including their current single Red Lines (available for free download). Whether you like your metal down and dirty or raw and epic, this EP will have something for you. Combine that with an electric live show and By Definition have secured their place as ones to watch in the coming months.
