Bio:
The band SILO was formed in 2003 in Gryfino (Western Pomerania, Poland)
as an instrumental trio performing music generally called an alternative
rock. Gigs were usually garnished by daring singer-dancer show.
In 2007 SILO suspended its activity in such form and transformed into
Michał Zmaczyński's (guitar, bass guitar) studio project in which
Michał was joined by guest musicians. As a result of it, in 2009, EP
named "Promo Audio & DVD" was released. In 2010 "deluxe" version of EP,
enriched with other songs, was released on Bandcamp website. Songs
"Biała Wdowa" and "Beton" are to find on two nationwide compilations,
"WAFP Vol.6" and "Rockowa2.pl".
In 2010 new line-up SILO resumed its activity. At the moment the band is
working on the new stuff. Samples are available on Bandcamp in "Home
Sessions" section.
Actual line-up:
Michał Zmaczyński - guitar
Łukasz Prunesti - bass
Marek krawczyk - drums
"Lately I have been getting bombarded with a ton of band submissions from Poland. SILO is one of those bands. Catchy and quirky melodies along the lines of Queens of the Stone Age, this band combines squeeky clean stoner grooves, dynamic rythyms, and nasally vocals (think Mike Patton) sung in Polish. They have a ton of music on Bandcamp for you to check out. Listen now!"
