Bio:

"SEX TYPE THING hail from Saint-Petersburg. The name of the band was adopted in early 2009 after years of development, lineup and style changes. As a matter of fact, vocalist Michael Chigidin and guitarist Pavel Voinov, the core-members of STT, have been playing together since 1998: the first ten years were spent performing under the names AIRBAG, TY COBB, and EBOLA as well as building musical foundation they felt they required. Their first album, Southern Dreams From Northern Reality, came out in spring 2009, and was met with warm local and national critical response. However, the unexpected departure of their drummer and bass player negatively impacted the band's perspective. In the beginning of 2011, the band raised again with a new rhythm section on board."

Combine the best stoner rock elements with 90's grunge influences and some riff heavy blues, add to that great melodies and clean vocals and you get exactly what Sex Type Thing has set out to accomplish. A great rock record! Their new album "Checked Up By Time" is set for release sometime this month.
