New Band To Burn One To: Doomroller

Earlier this year, Philadelphian trio Doomroller release their three song self-titled demo, and it may have slipped under our radar then, but we can’t let this one go unnoticed. If ‘power-doom’ is a genre, then these guys are heading towards conquering it. Each track on the demo is a blend of Helmet-style jagged riffing, with upbeat doom song structures, making it as danceable as it is gloomy.

Doomroller are a band screaming with potential, playing a refreshing take on the usual doomonic genre. We’ll be paying close attention to what these guys do in the future.
