Catacomb Records News

We said we wouldn’t do it again… but we have! The “Electric Kool Aid Acid Fest” will be held on Thursday, 9 April 2009 at The Old Wharf, Digbeth, Birmingham and will feature such stoner/doom and trashy dirty rock ‘n’ roll bands as Alunah, Grifter, Trippy Wicked, Gringo, and Fancy Nancy… and it’s totally FREE! Surely that’s enough to make you come out on a Thursday?

Aluna News
Due to unforeseen circumstances, as of 1 January 2009, the UK based psych, blues, doom band Aluna will be known as Alunah. Until all retailers have updated their systems and stock recall completed, Alunah releases may still be found under the old name of “Aluna”. Please check both spellings. If items still cannot be found, please refer to the Alunah store within their website. The band will be going under their new name of Alunah on their two upcoming releases in 2009. These are the limited edition split 7” with the Hong Kong/New York based doom band Queen Elephantine on Catacomb Records, and the limited edition 10” release of Alunah’s Fall To Earth EP on Nasoni Records. Release dates for these vinyls are still to be confirmed. Aluna would like to thank the following people for their help in this matter… Queen Elephantine, Nick at Code 7, Bek at Plastic Head Music Distribution, Carola at Nasoni Records, Olivia (Management), and family and friends for additional help and advice.

New contact details are as follows:

Official website: www.alunah.co.uk
MySpace: www.alunah-myspace.co.uk (Please note, this is NOT a new MySpace address, the new domain will forward to the old Aluna MySpace page)
Email: info@alunah.co.uk

Soph and Jake have been interviewed by Seattle`s Earthdog Promotions. Read the interview on their My Space blog page here. Earthdog has been instrumental in helping us to spread the word of Aluna accross Amercia, they work relentlessly and purely for the love of the stoner/doom/sludge scene!
