Due to the influx of albums coming in on a daily basis, Heavy Planet is once again looking for someone to join our staff.
Heavy Planet has been promoting independent and unsigned bands since 2008 to give them the free promotion they deserve. We are looking for a writer who is as passionate about the music as we are to help out with reviews. The perfect candidate must exemplify knowledge in the Stoner/Doom/Sludge/ Psych, etc. genres of metal. Your sole purpose will be to write exclusively for Heavy Planet and not to promote your own website/blog. While there is no pay involved, bands, labels and myself will occasionally send you promotional material (this may include demos, digital downloads, stickers, vinyl, etc.) every month. This is a great way to hear new bands before the general public, sometimes months in advance. You will also be required to post at least 4-10 reviews per month. There may also be opportunities to interview bands for the site as well. So if you think you got what it takes, send in a recent review of an album that you most recently listened to. We look forward to hearing from you!
