Song of the Day-Ponamero Sundown-"Bottom of the River"

"Bottom of the River" is taken off the latest release "Veddesta". It has been four long years since the band's last release "Rodeo Eléctrica (review)" and the band has not lost a step. In all honesty, I believe the band has gotten better. This song is a fine example of how the band crafts the perfect stoner rock song. To kick things off, bang the hell out of a cowbell. Next, enter a monster riff and finally, ride that groove for 4-plus minutes. If that isn't enough, the song ends with a glorious twin-guitar killing right into another huge riff. Take that!
